The reason, whether he made a voluntary lane change or force out by another vehicle is still being investigated. Reporter all lanes were immediately shut down allowing a medivac helicopter and transported the officer to the hospital. Unfortunately in this area there are no secondary routs. Reporter despite serious injuries, the chp officer is expected to live. They hope to learn more from the officer after speaking to him in the hospital.
