A Delhi court on Friday granted bail to Alt News Co-founder Mohammed Zubair in a criminal case registered against him in the national capital for allegedly hurting religious sentiments and promoting enmity between groups through his tweet in 2018.
The journalist, who is in jail and faces no fewer than four sets of charges in separate cases filed over a period of two weeks, had challenged the Allahabad HC's refusal to quash the Sitapur Police's FIR.
The journalist has been booked for describing three hate speech accused seers as ‘hatemongers’. He will now be moved from Tihar Jail to a Sitapur prison.
