and hit you. people are nervous. why wouldn t you be? look, there are people inside the administration that the president has tormenting for some time. rex tillerson was one, and he is gone. jeff sessions remains. there is a question mark about how long he stays. he takes the attitude, you have to fire me to get rid of me. that s what rex tillerson said until he was fired on twitter. what is striking about that is not the massive aggressiveness, which we ve known trump for for quite some time, he is reluctant to ultimately pull the trigger. he doesn t like confrontation. it was the cruelty of it. here is this person who has worked for him for a long time. somebody he gave this had to talk into becoming secretary of state, who had never been involved in politics before. he didn t even have the courtesy to call him on the phone and do it. that just seemed needless. more importantly, do it face-to-face, which is what tillerson requested.
big republican wave that swept through and took control of the senate, so at this point they re really going to have the first sitdown discussion that they ve had since then. mitch mcconnell yesterday, at a ceo event, said he was perplexed by the president s decisions since the election because he apparently hadn t kind of taken what voters wanted him to do from the midterm elections and applied that to his decision making process. he has already been pretty critical of what the president has been doing in recent weeks, and so they re going to have a hands to kind of sit face-to-face and hash that out. any idea what they re going to discuss specifically? well, the biggest thing and the first thing on the agenda is avoiding a government shutdown on december 11th. coming up with a budget bill, and working that out. it s kind of the first thing that needs to get done. after that they may have time to kind of get into what that tier is going to look like and what the senate kind of bar
santorum. should rick perry say yes? should we have this high profile meeting on this very important issue, immigration, tomorrow in dallas? well, i spoke with someone in the governor s office a short time ago and the bottom line is this. they say that governor perry has been making the point that this is a national crisis for quite some time and wanted the president to see it first-hand and the fact that his invitation for the president to go see it face-to-face on the border, the fact that that was turned down, he s a little frustrated by that but at the end of the day, he s the governor of his state and he wants what s best for his state. i think between now and the time the president leaves texas, they will have some kind of conversation because at the end of the day, governor perry wants what s best for his state and certainly, for our country. we talked a little about this yesterday. i think it s stupefying some people as to why the president isn t going to the border. he s g
