Reporter in the last halfhour the department of justice sent a letter to Jerrold Nadler where it threatens executive privilege. In the face of the committee of threatened contempt vote the attorney general will be compelled to request the president invoke executive privilege with respect to the material subject to the subpoena. It goes on to say this request not an assertion of executive privilege. Of the committee decides to proceed in spite of this request the attorney general will advise the president to make a protective assertion of executive privilege.
