PHILIPSBURG: - The personnel of the Traffic Department is investigating a serious accident that took place on Sunday, April 4th, 2021 about 2.45 pm on the crossing L.B.Scott Road and the Flamboyant Road.
Upon investigating what transpired, it was discovered that the driver of a grey Pickup and the driver of a motorcycle both traveling in the same direction from St Peters towards the Church-Hill roundabout. At a given moment, the driver of the pickup opted to turn left to enter Flamboyant road. At the very same time, the gray pick-up was being overtaken by the rider of the motorcycle who collided with the front side of the pick-up.

PHILIPSBURG: - On Monday, March 15, 2021, Governor Holiday paid a working visit to the vaccine center at the White and Yellow Cross and to the vaccine center of the Sint Maarten Medical Center. Both locations started administering the second dose of vaccines to persons today.
The White and Yellow Cross and the Sint Maarten Medical Center are two of the four vaccine locations which the government commissioned since February 22, 2021, to provide vaccine to our population. The Sint Maarten Medical Center administers vaccines to staff members of the hospital, of Sint Maarten Laboratory Services, of the Cay Hill Pharmacy, of the Ambulance Service, and of the Firefighters. The White and Yellow Cross vaccination location s main focus is to provide vaccines to residents of the center, other persons over 60 years, and the staff of the center. PHILIPSBURG: - Members of the Detective Department of KPSM, together with the Federal Detectives, are currently investigating an incident that took place at Sint Maarten Medical Center in Cay Hill, whereby a police officer was involved.
After having consulted with the prosecutor it was decided to arrest the officer Q.N.A. for the destruction of property, for damages done at the Sint Maarten Medical Center.
The Chief of police requested the Department of Internal Affairs to immediately launch a disciplinary into the incident that took place at Sint Maarten Medical Center. No further information will be given at this time.

PHILIPSBURG: - Police traffic department officers are still investigating the deadly accident which took place on A.J.C Brouwers Road, Wednesday, January 6 at about 2:30 pm. Two scooter riders collided and one of the victims lost his life.
According to the preliminary investigation, investigators believe the scooter s riders were driving in opposite directions and simultaneously overtook vehicles on the A.J.C Brouwers Road causing a massive collision. The investigation further shows both persons were driving at such a high speed making it impossible for either of them to avoid a head-on collision.
The first victim with the initials A.M.J H suffered a left arm fracture and was brought to the Emergency Room by ambulance personnel at the Sint-Maarten Medical Center. The second victim C.D.W. suffered severe head injuries and unfortunately lost his life at the scene as a result of his injuries. The Sint Maarten Police Force would like to express
