Vietnam and Singapore further promote strategic partnership
At the invitation of Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan paid an official visit to Vietnam and attended the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) High-level Policy Dialogue from June 20-23.
Vietnam, Singapore to work towards bilateral agreement on digital economy Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son on June 21 held talks with his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan. The two ministers highlighted the key role of the two countries’ foreign ministries in fostering bilateral ties in various sectors. They agreed to closely coordinate to promote the exchange of delegations and meetings at all levels as well as maintain cooperation mechanisms. The next meeting to be held will be the 14th deputy-ministerial-level political consultation later this year.

NDO/VNA – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held separate meetings with his Cambodian, Singaporean and Malaysian counterparts on April 24, on the occasion of the ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting in Jakarta.
In the meeting with Cambodian PM Samdech Techo Hun Sen, PM Chinh affirmed that Vietnam always treasures and gives the top priority to consolidating the fine neighborliness, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia.
He stressed that Vietnam always stays ready to assist Cambodia to prevent the pandemic. In such spirit, Vietnam provided US$500,000 together with 800 respirators, 2 million medical masks and 300,000 N-95 masks for Cambodia.

KLUANG (April 12): The reopening of the Malaysia-Singapore border is expected to be on the list of items to be discussed between Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong in the republic early next month.
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said he would ensure that the matter was addressed at the meeting. During the visit, I will make sure that that it (border reopening) is part of the agenda of discussions between our Prime Minister and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, he told reporters after attending the Malaysia Prihatin programme for the Sembrong Parliamentary constituency in Paloh here today.
