According to
Bernama, Malaysia s Foreign Affairs Minister Hishammuddin Hussein told the media that he will make sure both leaders will talk about the issue, adding that the issue was discussed with Singapore s Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan in his visit to Malaysia in late March.
In a joint statement issued by both foreign ministries, Singapore and Malaysia said they are committed to restoring cross-border travel for other travellers in addition to the Reciprocal Green lane (RGL) and the Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA).
They also said they will further deliberate on the operational details regarding the recognition of vaccine certificate between both countries in order to facilitate cross-border travel in the future.
Political leaders from both sides of the Causeway are expected to discuss the reopening of the border at a meeting in early May, Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said on Monday (April 12). KLUANG: Malaysia Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to discuss the reopening of the border with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong early May, said Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein on Monday (Apr 12).
Mr Hishammudin told reporters he will make sure that the Malaysia-Singapore border reopening is included in the agenda when the two leaders meet in Singapore.

He said the issue was discussed during Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan s visit to Malaysia in late March, adding that he will also pay an official visit to Singapore in the near future.
