84 to 86 Commercial Road in Swindon South Marston: An old barn in a farmyard last used to house a swimming pool could be converted into two bungalow-style houses. Melanie Norris who lives at the Grade II-listed Burton Grove Farm in Highworth Road also wants to convert another building into two apartments. The application says: “The proposal is to convert the unused, derelict-looking, swimming pool building two units of accommodation suitable for single people or couples. It is likely the accommodation will be let. “The building predates the need for planning permission and there is no planning record of the building’s conversion to a swimming pool building, but it was clearly used for this purpose when the Norris family purchased Burton Grove Farm in 1999.
