Updated Monday, 17th May 2021, 8:02 pm A young man who acted as a drug dealer’s driver has been jailed for three years for his part in supplying heroin and crack cocaine to users in Leamington. Arman Ali (22) of Brickhouse Lane, West Bromwich, had pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to being concerned in the supply of the two class A drugs. He was acting as a driver at the time for ‘third strike’ dealer Janade Tariq, who was jailed for five years and eight months at an earlier hearing. Arman Ali Prosecutor Simon Hunka said that on March 15 the two men were seen in Leamington in a Renault Clio, with Ali driving and Tariq in the front passenger seat.

Asfandyar Kiani appeared over videolink at Worcester Crown Court from HMP Brinsford following two different attacks, one a brutal gang attack in Worcester and the other a more violent attack in Malvern. The 21-year-old of Ludstock Close, Worcester, has yet to be sentenced for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and theft of the wallet following the attack in Black Horse Walk in Lowesmoor on March 26, 2019.

Jack Stopps pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to carrying out the robbery at the store in Chase Meadow Square and possessing an offensive weapon during the raid. And Stopps (37) of Shakespeare Avenue, Warwick, thanked the judge after being jailed for two years and 10 months, saying he had been ‘thinking it was going to be much worse.’ Jack Stopps pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to carrying out the robbery at the store in Chase Meadow Square and possessing an offensive weapon during the raid.
