Tracy McKay is among a team of nine Team SA para surfing athletes who travelled – often solo on multiple 24-hour-plus journeys – to represent their country at the World Para Surfing Championship a few weeks after the gees of the Bok victory in Paris.
It was the first time the event returned to Muizenberg since the inaugural SA Para Surf Championships in 2017 and was the first stop of the newly launched Global Para Surf League.
