Composite Integration (Saltash, U.K.) has acquired Silicone Composites (Saltash) to provide what is says will be a single point of excellence for resin transfer molding (RTM), infusion and silicone solutions.
Silicone Composites was initially established in 2013 with the aim of providing a more efficient, less labor-intense closed molding process while also looking to reduce the amount of consumable waste. In 2016, after the company had experienced strong growth, Silicone Composites became a sister company of Composite Integration, with a full acquisition and merger completed in December 2020.
Further, over the past four years, both businesses have continuously evolved to offer technologies underpinned by the knowledge gained from ongoing research and technology on a variety of collaborative and commercial programs.
