India News: Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi raising doubts on Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's tenure in government, Congress MLA Priyank Kharge
Senior BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai has accused the Congress government in the Indian state of Karnataka of neglecting those affected by flooding and rain. He said that the government has failed to provide relief to those affected by floods, provide initial assessment of crop damage, or pay attention to the loss of life. Bommai also accused the state government of political infighting and linked this activity with an alleged competition for corruption in the transfer of government officials.
The Congress has maintained that police closed the case as their preliminary findings revealed that it was meant to be an act of prank by the students with full knowledge of the victim.
Taking a dig at the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Karnataka assembly, Siddaramaiah for comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi with German dictator Adolf Hitler, state Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said that such cheap remarks are not a part of the state s political culture.
