FIR Registered Against Two Nurses in Maharashtra Hospital Fire Case
The FIR has been registered under IPC Section 304 part 2(culpable homicide not amounting to murder). Punishment can carry imprisonment for 10 years.

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Director General of Police, Hemant Nagrale, on Thurs day, informed that an FIR has been registered against two nurses for criminal negligence in connection with the Bhandara hospital fire incident which led to the death of 10 newborn infants on January 9.
The FIR has been registered against nurses Shubhangi Sathavane and Smita Ambildhuke. According to reports, the services of both these nurses were earlier terminated. They were working on a contractual basis.

Police investigation finds criminal negligence by duo.
“After investigation in the case, it was found that there was criminal negligence on the part of two nurses, Shubhangi Sathavane and Smita Ambildhuke. Further investigations are on,” DGP, Maharashtra, Hemant Nagrale said.
The FIR is registered under Section 304 part 2 of the IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder). Sub divisional police officer Arun Waykar from Sakoli is the complainant in the case.

More than a month after the tragic fire that killed 10 infants in Maharashtra s Bhandara district, an FIR has been registered against two nurses for criminal negligence. The FIR has been registered in Bhandara Police Station under section 304 (II - act is done with knowledge that it is likely to cause death, but without any intention to cause death, etc.)
The FIR has named nurses Shubhangi Sathavane and Smita Ambildhuke for criminal negligence on their part in the death of the 10 infants in Bhandara District Hospital.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 22 (ANI): Maharashtra government on Thursday suspended civil surgeon, nurse and a medical officer from Bhandara District Hospital in which 10 newborns were killed in a blaze earlier this month.
The government also transferred an additional civil surgeon and terminated a paediatrician and contracts of two nurses.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the committee investigating the incident submitted its report on Wednesday
He said as per the recommendation of the panel, the district surgeon has been suspended for breach of duty in this case.
