NEW DELHI, Oct 4: A total of 10 members of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and other proscribed outfits were today designated as terrorists by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The Centre on Tuesday designated Showkat Ahmed Sheikh, the Chief Launching Commander of terror organisation Hizb-Ul-Mujahideen, as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, on accusations of promoting terror atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir. Hizb-ul-Mujahideen member Imtiyaz Ahmad Kandoo has also been declared as terrorist under the act.
