It has been all of the storm system offshore. Down at the surface, what we have happening right now is the storm front is stationary so this is acting like a big block of buffer and helping they continually push the smoke to the north and the east. I can show you a better view of that right now. The three large fires been the largest culprit of the smoke. You will see the plumes from the satellite moving off to the north and east. Host we are focusing on books written by former first ladies. The first first lady to venture into publishing was known one who recalls her time in the white house 1914 and since then ten other first ladies have published memoirs. We will focus tonight on five women who have served in that position in the last 50 years. First up, Rosalynn Carter who served as first lady from 19771981 and she is the author of five books. In 1984 her bestselling memoir, first lady from plains, was released. Missus carters subsequent books have focused on caregiving and Mental Health care. This is a subject she is championed throughout her life. Now from 2010 here is Rosalynn Carter talking about her book, within our reach ending the Mental Health crisis. As we go the overnight hours, though, we have this added concern, as we mentioned in the top there, that we have fire danger. A red flag warning will go into effect overnight tonight into tomorrow morning. Its mainly in the north and east bay hills, Santa Cruz Mountains, as well. Most folks probably wont notice much wind, but if the hills, they will. So this is always a dangerous pattern, especially after these low humidities. Low fuel moistures. High temperatures, after numerous days of it. So here is the model. Look at the arrows. Those are onshore, arent they . And were going to see fog back at the coast tonight. The model, im going to post the model forward. There is monday morning, or this morning, pardon me. And you see where we are now. In the blues, you see the contrast. Now watch from the east up around sacramento. Watch these orange colors start to come in overnight tonight. Right there. See that filling in . Midinsightmidnight . And then here about 6 00 a. M. This is above 1,000 feet. Most people wont notice much wind, but its a dangerous wind in that theres fire. And the orange area adown the Santa Cruz Mountains, that area will see some wind and also the east bay hills. That looks like the worst spot, it will be that north bay. Im not expecting 70 mile an hour winds. Im thinking a few hours of winds around 25 to 35 miles per hour, and then quickly, by tomorrow afternoon, the winds slow down. Okay . So its worth keeping an eye on, because any wind in this pattern is scary. Ask well have a spare the air alert tomorrow. The air quality will not get better until those fires go out.
