Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library was selected by Stop & Shop located at 539-571 Boston Turnpike as a benefiting nonprofit in its Community Bag program.
In March, the Friends will receive a $1 donation from each purchase of a reusable Community Bag that retails for $2.50 at the Stop & Shop store.
The Stop & Shop Community Bag program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
“In this time of uncertainty due to COVID-19, supporting local non-profits has never been more important,” stated Sarah Scott, program manager, Community Bag program.
