Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu shared the recognition with Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. In the startup ranking, while Himachal Pradesh is placed among Category-B states, the others are Category-A states.
Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan described this the “proudest moment” for the state. “It comes as a testament to Kerala s unwavering commitment in fostering a robust startup ecosystem, exemplified by a series of initiatives under @startup mission. This propels our prospects of becoming a knowledge economy,” he wrote on social media platform X.
