Uniindia: Mumbai, Aug 8 (UNI) Former Maharashtra chief minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Monday recommended the name of his party MLC Ambadas Danve for the post of Leader of Opposition in state Legislative Council.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday took an unfavourable view of the arguments by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's camp that the petitions by Uddhav Thackeray camp are not maintainable.
Issuing a letter still claiming to be the party's leader in the assembly, Mr Shinde today called a meeting of the Shiv Sena Legislature Party all MLAs, that is at the hotel in Goa where the rebel group has been staying since yesterday.
