The 29th season of women’s soccer at the University of Kansas kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 17, at McClimon Track/Soccer Complex in Madison, Wisconsin, as the Jayhawks face the Badgers. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on BTN+.
The Kansas Jayhawks played the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Friday afternoon at Rock Chalk Park in an exhibition match. The Jackrabbits bested the Jayhawks by a score of 2-1. Redshirt junior Brie Severns scored a goal in the second half in the defeat.
Kansas Soccer will take the field for the first time on Friday afternoon in its first and only exhibition match. The Jayhawks will host the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 1 p.m. CT. Admission to Rock Chalk Park will be free for the match and fans attending the contest will receive the official team schedule poster.
The No. 15 ranked TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Kansas Jayhawks 5-1 in the quarterfinal round of the Big 12 Championship at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex. Super-senior Rylan Childers scored the lone goal for the Jayhawks.
