South Korea Shares Called To Open Lower On Thursday

The South Korea stock market has moved lower in back-to-back sessions, tumbling more than 90 points or 3.6 percent along the way. The KOSPI market now rests just above the 2,4350-point plateau and it's expected to open under pressure again on Thursday.

Seoul shares open slightly higher on bargain hunting

South Korean stocks opened slightly higher Thursday as investors hunted for bargains following the recent extended losses amid dimmed prospects for the US Federal Reserve's rate cuts. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index gained 5.91 points, or 0.24 percent, to 2,441.81 in the first 15 minutes of trading. Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.25 percent lower, with the S&P 500 slippi.
