The Singapore stock market has moved lower in four straight sessions, slipping almost 25 points or 0.7 percent along the way. The Straits Times Index now sits just beneath the 3,310-point plateau although it may stop the bleeding on Thursday.
The Taiwan stock market on Wednesday ended the two-day losing streak in which it had fallen more than 110 points or 0.6 percent. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just beneath the 22,050-point plateau and it may add to its winnings on Thursday.
The Malaysia stock market has ticked lower in three straight sessions, slipping almost 10 points or 0.6 percent along the way. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index now sits just beneath the 1,610-point plateau although it's likely to find support on Thursday.
The Australian market is notably higher on Thursday, recouping some of the losses in the previous two sessions, following the mixed cues from Wall Street overnight.
