The worst but it really has been a relatively quiet night for the most part. The wind really hasnt been that bad with the exception of some gusts here and there since weve been here since about 4 am. The National Weather Service Canceled a high wind advisory because wind below 2500 feet has died down but, again, still under a red flag warning. Wind is Strong Enough and humidity is low enough to create critical fire weather conditions. Spot fires that can turn into bigger fires are possible. Firefighters will finally get a break after an intense week on the front lines because the wind well let up after today. That does not mean the area is safe. Fire could be burning inside trees coming even if we dont see it. Cal fire says they can fall, roll down the hill and start another fire. We did see firefighters pulled off onto the side of the road earlier spraying water on a smoking tree. Another issue is how dry everything around here is.
