IRFC shares, which dropped 5.44 per cent on Thursday, fell another 2.46 per cent per cent in Friday's trade to hit a low of Rs 31.21 apiece on BSE. With this, the scrip ahs fallen 16.48 per cent from a 52-wek high of Rs 37.37 hit on May 4.
IRFC said funds under the proposed borrowing programme (Rs 50,000 crore) will be raised for different maturities, through different instruments, depending upon the actual requirement and asset-liability position.
After 'The Wire' sent queries to the ministry's bodies, on October 15, the director of the Railway Board issued a letter saying Amitabh Banerjee will be divested of the charge chairman and managing director of IRFC 'with immediate effect until further orders.'
The allegations against him, range from using his home as a company guest house, reimbursing personal medical bills of family members and getting the company to pay long-term visa fee for travel abroad on a personal passport after his retirement.
