AUBURN â Judge Adam Squiller sentenced five people for criminal offenses during hearings May 5 and May 11 in DeKalb Superior Court I.
Bernard Evon of the 7800 block of Campbell Street, Taylor, Michigan, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, all suspended except 10 days, for operating a vehicle with an unlawful alcohol concentration, a Class A misdemeanor. He was placed on probation for 355 days and was fined $200. His driving license was suspended for 120 days.
Shelby Riedel of the 5700 block of C.R. 327, Garrett, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, all suspended except 18 days, for domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. She received credit for nine days she served in jail while the case was pending. She was placed on probation for 340 days.
AUBURN â Local police officers arrested 17 people from Feb. 9-14, according to DeKalb County Jail records.
Brandi Pennington, 38, of the 7300 block of West C.R. 100N, Kimmell, was arrested Feb. 9 at 3:07 p.m. by the DeKalb County Sheriffâs Office on charges of theft, a Level 6 felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.
Ashly Getts, 34, listed in jail records as a homeless resident of Hamilton, was arrested Feb. 9 at 11:29 p.m. by the DeKalb County Sheriffâs Office on a DeKalb County warrant alleging a violation of the compulsory school attendance law, a Class B misdemeanor.
David Wickey, 19, of the 5700 block of C.R. 64, Spencerville, was arrested Feb. 10 at 1:15 a.m. by the DeKalb County Sheriffâs Office on a warrant alleging failure to appear in court on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to .15 or more, a Class A misdemeano
