The NCM predicted that Monday's weather would be clear to partly cloudy with clouds formation in the east in the afternoon, with a gradual increase in temperatures.
The weather body said the fog which lasted for 8 hours began forming from 12.00 midnight until 8am on Al Mirfa, Tarif, Madinat Zayed and Habshan in the Al Dhafra region, on Sweihan in Al Ain, besides a number of other regions.

The National Centre for Meteorogly (NCM) said the fog formation, which started late on Monday, will continue till 11am on Tuesday. Authorities have warned motorists to drive carefully.
The Abu Dhabi Police announced activation of speed reduction system on major roads in the emirate. Maximum speed limit is 80kmph on roads including Trucks Road (Al Fayah), Abu Dhabi - Al Ain road (Al Wathbah - Al Khatim), Abu Dhabi - Al Ghwaifat road (Abu Al Abyad - Al Ghwaifat), Abu Dhabi - Sweihan road, Maktoum Bin Rashid road (Abu Dhabi Dubai) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid road (Abu Dhabi - Dubai) until the visibility is restored.
