Former media executive Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora, on Wednesday moved a special court here seeking day-to-day trial in the case, contending that the slow pace of proceedings has affected her right to work.
Last year, Ms Mukerjea had claimed that her former jail inmate, a police inspector who is facing extortion charges, had told her she had seen Sheena at Dal Lake during a vacation in Srinagar.
Before his arrest in the murder case, he was nabbed by Khar Police in the arms Act case in 2015. He was allowed bail in the Arms Act case by the Bandra magistrate court for a bond of Rs 15000.
