A san jose man has clear name this morning after spending 13 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He was freed with some help from the Northern California Innocence Project. Abc7 News Reporter Katie Marzullo explains. Reporter these are photos of glen payne leaving the hall of justice on friday. He is surrounded by the attorneys and volunteers of the Northern California Innocence Project. This is the first case that in the California State Court has been reversed on the basis of microscopic hair comparison. Reporter payne was convicted of kidnapping and molesting a 2yearold neighbor girl in 1991. His conviction in large part due to expert testimony about two strands of hair.
