Oman s share index ends marginally lower

Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3,602.56 points, down 0.12 per cent from the previous close. The Sharia Index ended down 0.22 per cent at 508.16 points. Gulf Investment, up 4.0 per cent, was the top gainer today while Al Jazeera Steel, down 3.52 per cent, was the top loser. Shares of Gulf Investment were the most active in terms of the number of shares traded and Ominvest Perpetual Bonds was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 444 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating a turnover of OMR1.5 million, with more than 7.56 million shares changing hands. Out of 36 traded stocks, 7 advanced, 11 declined and 18 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC & Arab investors were net buyers for OMR64,000 while local were net sellers for OMR61,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR3,000 worth of shares.

Raysut Cement, up 2.41 per cent, was the top gainer while Al Omaniya Financial, down 4.11%, was the top loser. Shares of HSBC Oman was the most active in terms of number of shares traded and also was the most active in terms of turnover.

Out of 38 traded stocks, 6 advanced, 14 declined and 18 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net sellers for OMR331,000 while local were net buyers for OMR178,000 followed by GCC & Arab investors for OMR152,000 worth of shares.
it. that s fine. i would have liked him to oppose it but that s ok. but by actually inviting this controversy and charging in the face of something where 2/3 of the american people disagee and as more comes out about this vicious guy, abdul rauf who, by the way, is being funded by the state department right now as he tours the world, this guy established a sharia index for each country to merits degree of compliance with sharia law. and what the muslims radical islamic fundamentalists are trying to do is promote this sharia law and have it governed all muslims throughout the world. so, for example, in britain, there s a movement and some courts have ruled, when two muslims dispute each other, sharia law governs ooc. i m going to ask you to stick around for a second. democrats are sure to lose some seats in november.
