Oman shares end lower marginally

Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3,606.98 points, flat 0.01 per cent from previous close. The Sharia Index ended down 0.32 per cent at 509.29 points. Raysut Cement, up 2.41 per cent, was the top gainer while Al Omaniya Financial, down 4.11%, was the top loser. Shares of HSBC Oman was the most active in terms of number of shares traded and also was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 407 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating turnover of OMR1.5 million, with more than 9.10 million shares changing hands. Out of 38 traded stocks, 6 advanced, 14 declined and 18 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net sellers for OMR331,000 while local were net buyers for OMR178,000 followed by GCC & Arab investors for OMR152,000 worth of shares.
