red light in denver. the bus struck a car, killing the driver and then plowed into a pickup truck. the driver of the bus has also been taken to the hospital with injuries. police are working with the bus company now to investigate that deadly crash. the space shuttle discovery is clear for launch tomorrow for the mission to the international space station. the cargo run is one of the last four missions for the shuttle program, so as it nears its end, the question becomes where will the storage fleet eventually retire. laura ingle joins us live from new york with more details on that. good morning, laura. reporter: good morning, shannon. there s a lot of competition going on between museums across the country to acquire one of these coveted space shuttles once they re decommissioned. there are only two left that are up for gran grabs and more than0 facilities have put in bids for them. nasa put out a call to educational institutions, science me museums and other organizations to s
manufacturing jobs created in the last three months, 21,000 just in the last month alone in part because of exports. construction, for the first time since june of 2007, nearly three years, the construction sector added jobs, 15,000 jobs last month, and we re seeing a lot of jobs created in temporary employment agencies, you know, the temps. 300,000 jobs since september, 40,000 just in march. those jobs are typically, you know, if companies are cautious, they ll hire a temp. if business conditions and economic conditions get better, they ll turn the temporary positions into full-time real jobs, so that s a positive sign. economists like to see growth in temporary jobs. shannon: speaking of temporary jobs, the census is a big part of what we saw earlier this week. 48,000 of the jobs that came in were census. those won t stick around forever. as we were talking earlier, that was lower than you thought. we ll see a lot more census jobs to come. it s 2010.
