High GPAs, excellent PSAT scores, and small town living recently earned 13 Sandpoint High School students honors from the College Board through its National Rural and Small Town Recognition program.
Sandpoint finished the season with a 7-4 record. Before Friday's loss, Sandpoint had six straight wins over teams such as Lewiston, Lake City, Moscow, and Lakeland.
No. 6 Sandpoint did just about everything right on Friday night, rolling to a 48-0 shutout victory over No.11 Bonneville at War Memorial Field to advance to the second round of the 4A State Championship Playoffs.
With over 400 yards of total offense and three forced turnovers, Sandpoint cruised to a 49-21 victory over 4A Inland Empire conference rival Lakeland at War Memorial Field on Friday.
