The popular Alop-shankari temple of city, revered as one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of the country, will soon be developed in keeping with the South Indian style of temple architecture. Before Mahakumbh-2025, renovation and beautification work of the temple will be undertaken at a budget of Rs 7 crore approved by the state government.

Some stories say this happened when Lord Shiva danced while carrying her, while others mention Lord Vishnu using a powerful weapon on her to help Shiva. These sites are now important symbols of female divine power. People from all over visit these places for blessings.
Devotees visiting the shaktipeeths in Himachal Pradesh s Kangra district, including the Shri Bajreshwari Mata temple, Shri Chamunda Mata temple, and Shri Jwala Mata temple, can now perform e-pujas online. The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, launched a website on Friday to facilitate online pujas, darshan slips, and online receipts for donations.
