He was being treated for a liver-related ailment for more than a month at a hospital in New Delhi Gajendra Singh Shaktawat, Congress MLA from Vallabhnagar in Rajasthan s Udaipur district, died at a hospital in New Delhi on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. Mr. Shaktawat, 48, was being treated for a liver-related ailment for more than a month.
A second time MLA from Vallabhnagar, Mr. Shaktawat had extended support to former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot during the political crisis in July last year. He camped at an undisclosed location in Haryana along with the rebel Congress legislators for several days before returning to Jaipur to attend a special session of the Assembly.
