New owner plans to restore Brisbane’s third-oldest residence Save Normal text size Advertisement State heritage-listed Shafston House is under new management, with plans for a full restoration, apart from the Shafston International College campus buildings, which will be demolished. The site is the third-oldest residence in Brisbane. It is situated on the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point and was built in stages from 1851 to the 1930s. Shafston House was designed by one of Brisbane’s “most sacred architects”, Robin Dods.
