TRI-STATE (WFIE) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear provided an update regarding the winter weather conditions in the Commonwealth Wednesday afternoon.
Governor Beshear said Kentucky Emergency Management (KYEM) activated its State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) at 7 a.m. at Level 4 operations.
Operations consist of KYEM personnel monitoring the weather system along with critical Emergency Support Function (ESF) partners for transportation, law enforcement, power and utilities.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - Some Kentucky teachers rolled up their sleeves this week to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Walmart Pharmacy helped make that happen for educators in Henderson, Union, Ohio, Muhlenberg and Daviess counties.
Now, those in Owensboro will get their chance Friday.
Friday marks the first official clinic for educators in Daviess County, which includes three districts. Those districts include Owensboro Public Schools, Daviess County Public Schools and Owensboro Catholic Schools.

HOPKINS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - No one was hurt after a train crashed into a semi in Hopkins County Monday morning.
The sheriff’s office says it happened around 6:12 a.m. on US 41 near Ed Brackett Road.
Deputies tell us the semi got stuck on the track before the train hit it.
The driver was able to get out.
The sheriff’s office says no one was hurt and the road is back open.
