Hopkins County s current sheriff has announced his intentions to run for re-election in 2022.
Sheriff Matt Sanderson said that after being approached by several people about running for Kentucky Senate for the district and giving the idea some serious thought, he decided to announce his plans to run for another term as sheriff. It s what I love and quite honestly still feel called to do. I am still learning and growing daily. We have built an exceptional law enforcement agency with outstanding personnel, Sheriff Sanderson said, announcing his intentions to run for another term. So when it s time, I will once again be asking for your vote next spring and fall. We have more to do.
