We will check back on the bay bridge tolls in just a few minutes. Ntsb says that amtrak train that derailed was barreling down the tracks 50 Miles Per Hour over the speed limit when it derailed east of olympia, washington. This was the scene overnight. Investigators were able to get that dangling car out of the way there and some of those cars off of the highway. Made a little progress but obviously the scene is still there, the highway is still closed and they are still investigating. The train was actually going 80 Miles Per Hour when all of this happened yesterday morning and the president of amtrak says the positive train control, the technology thats supposed to slow it down, was not in operation on that particular stretch of track.
