CHENNAI: Jack Dorsey, CEO of social media giant Twitter, has donated $15 million (around Rs 110 crore) in his personal capacity to support relief efforts in India’s ongoing Covid-19 second wave.
Dorsey’s announcement of the grant, and his choice of NGOs to whom he had directed it, also sparked off controversy and chatter on Twitter.
Dorsey tweeted that the $15 million for India will go to three NGOs- Care ($10 million), Aid India ($2.5 million) and Sewa International ($2.5 million) for their relief work.

New Delhi, May 7 : The Ministry of Ayush on Friday launched a massive nationwide campaign to distribute its poly herbal ayurvedic drugs AYUSH 64 and Kabasura Kudineer to the majority of out of hospital Covid patients.
In a statement the Ministry claimed that the efficacy of these drugs has been proved through robust multi-centre clinical trials. The multi stakeholder campaign being launched by the Minister of State (independent charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports and Minister of Ayush (additional charge) Kiren Rijiju will ensure that medicines reach the needy in a transparent and efficient manner. The main collaborator in the campaign is Sewa Bharati.

Ministry of Ayush on Friday announced that it is launching a massive nationwide campaign to distribute its polyherbal ayurvedic drugs AYUSH 64 and Sidha drug Kabasura Kudineer for the benefit of COVID-19 patients that have not been hospitalised. This announcement comes at a time when the nation is dealing with a massive surge in COVID-19 cases that has pushed the healthcare infrastructure of the country to its limit.
NEW DELHI: The Ayush ministry on Friday said it has launched a massive nationwide campaign to distribute its proven poly herbal ayurvedic drug AYUSH 64 and Sidha medicine Kabasura Kudineer for the benefit of Covid patients in home isolation.
The efficacy of these drugs has been proved through robust multi-centre clinical trials, the ministry said in its statement.
AYUSH-64 is recommended in National Clinical Management Protocol based on ayurveda and yoga which is vetted by National Task Force on Covid Management of ICMR and Guidelines for Ayurveda Practitioners for Covid-19 patients in home isolation.
Kabasura Kudineer is included in Guidelines for Siddha Practitioners for Covid 19 issued by the ministry of Ayush, the statement stated.

The Jammu and Kashmir Prant unit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has made arrangements for 106 new Oxygen Concentrators for the treatment of corona patientsin different districts of UT.
This was disclosed by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Prant Sah Sanghchalak Dr. Gautam Mengi Krishna during meeting at the Prant Sangh Headquarter in Keshav Bhawan.
