In the bay area impacted by tonights power shut off is the city of calistoga. The entire city was forced to evacuate because of the glass fire. Reporter in downtown calistoga, plenty took a stroll in the warm autumn evening. For many their power is out and it has been happening a lot the last couple of years. If we dont have power, we lose everything. We are a workingclass community. You cant replacing the content of your refrigerator over and over again. The calistoga mayor said the power at his house went out at 6 57 but most of the town is in because of a power generating station set up on the edge of town. When it was initiated tonight, about 40 went dark. Nearly all of the homes and businesses are not connected to the generators because of fire safety concerns.
