I spoke with a tenant. He says he finally has hot water again. The initial problem tuesday knocking out gas service that seeps the water hot. What started as a minor inconvenience grew to be major frustration has tenants spent six days without hot water. Keeping up with bathing and laundry has been challenge. Its been hazard the dry and bathe and boil the water in the kitchen and haul it up the stairs to the bathroom. Reporter the question remains why did it take six days to get hot water back. Valley fair realty gave tenants this letter saying they were waiting for the city to inspect repairs. A spokesman for san jose said the city was not notified about the problem until 4 30 friday afternoon. The city says it expedited the permitting process allowing crews to complete repairs today.
