Confronted a knife wielding man. Abigail smith was standing nearby. We heard bang bang, i was like, what was that. She was like, never mind. What they heard were 2 campus officers con fronting the man with the knife. The suspect charged at the officers with a knife. One officer from the University Police department actually discharged his taser. Police say when the taser had no effect the other officer shot the suspect. Abigails mother said her daughter called her. She said she heard the two zaps of the taser and then right after, two gunshots. We went outside and saw them doing cpr. What did it look like . Its like he would no shirt on and they were doing cpr but they stopped. Say the man did not appear to be appear student. Abigail agreed. He was kind of older and chunky. I didnt see his wife. Was he black, white . He was white. I was scared for her safety. The college said it did not disrupt classes. They say they believe this is the first officer shooting in the schools history. No
That front car and just how close it was to the edge of the track. The rest of the train cars were thrown across both sets of tracks and this all happened at 6 20 tonight during the evening commute. However the train was out of service and heading back to the yard when it happened. Bart has not said when the cars will be remanufactured but it will likely mean a crane will have to be brought in to pick up and move each individual car. Bart suspended service between Pleasant Hill and hits burg but commuters are experiencing delays across the entire system. I have no idea how long its going to take me to get home tonight. Reporter that was the first alert from dispatch on the derailment. The train slipped off the tracks at the point the tracks interlock. No passenger on board and the engineer uninjured. But figuring out what went wrong is like figuring out which came first, the chicken or the egg. Crewing are working around the clock untangling the train and refitting the tracks in 39foot section and say the heavy lifting is a day ahead of schedule.
