The cold winter air in the east is filled tonight with the sounds of plows in search of pavement and shovels in search of sidewalks. After the storm, new bedford, massachusetts, is digging out of more than a foot of snow. Roads throughout the northeast and Midatlantic States are still icy and dangerous. This is virginia. And now temperatures many the region are plummeting again. Today it got as low as nine degrees in washington, d. C. , seven in new york city and boston. Watertown, new york, hit 37 degrees below zero. We have a team of correspondents covering the story. First, Michelle Millner hanover, massachusetts. Just southeast of boston. Michelle . You are going to have a significant storm of your own. Travel is going to be very difficult. Milwaukee, grand rapids, possibly even around chicago with winter storm warnings for a good chunk of michigan. It should be warm enough where you dont have a lot of accumulations. Theres a whopper of a snowstorm headed this way. The National Weather service is forecasting as much as two feet of snow in some areas and a potentially dangerous icy mix in others. Bill karins is tracking that storm. Bill, what can we expect . The storm is still on. Looks just as bad today as it did yesterday at this time. We have more agreement. That means more of a chance its going to happen. Let me introduce you to the two storms that are going to become our one storm. The first is through the great lakes from milwaukee to grand rapids to chicago. Travel is not fun. Some areas getting six inches of snow. Then we have a lot of rain and thunderstorms down here in the gulf. The two of these storms are going to move pretty much to the east coast as we go throughout the next 24 hours and then blow up into a big storm, a noreaster, possibly a blizzard as we go through new england.
