You can see the flames raging in that community with about 60 homes. Lets look at sky 7. You can see the flames aggressively expanding. They are impacting two major communities. Loma mar and dearborn park. It is presumed this fire was caused by lightning sunday morning. Cal fire responded to about 22 lightning fires in this region. Le residents have been documenting the size of the blaze since sunday. Now there is nothing else to wait for. Theyre evacuating. Heres one of the residents. We are evacuating now. We began in 2004 and we started really with a Community Wide effort led by, then, mayor gavin newsom and fellow Community Members to bring together a number of services in one day to make sure that people experiencing homelessness could Access Services more easily. And when we examine the situation in Alameda County, we find that one in five residents experience or are at risk of hunger. In fact, about 119,000 are considered food insecure, and an addition 130,000 are marginally food secure. Addressing the need is a daunting task, and that is taken on by the Alameda County Community Food bank.
