BMW has unveiled the next generation five-door 4-Series Gran Coupe. Production of the car will be set up at a plant in Munich on the same line with the 3-Series sedan and the electric i4. At the moment, the novelty is already available for order in Russia. how informs the press service of the German brand, prices for the car start at 3,680,000 rubles.
After the generation change, the car increased in size and received a new vertical radiator grille with large “nostrils”. This solution was first demonstrated at the Concept 4. The company previously explained that the “nostrils” are not only an aesthetic function – they are designed to supply additional air to the powerful engines of the car.

The 2022 BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe has appeared as a larger and more stylish iteration of the first-gen model. The second-gen BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe is 5.9-inches longer, 1.0-inch wider, and 2.1-inches taller than the first-gen car. It also has a 1.8-inch longer wheelbase to offer more wiggle room despite the sloping coupe-like rear profile.
Also, the front and rear tracks have grown slightly by 1.6-inches and 0.7-inches in the front and rear, respectively. Astonishingly, the result of this growth spurt is a silhouette that looks eerily similar to the BMW i4, and it seems both cars share the headlights and taillights, as well.

The Volkswagen ID.4 electric crossover is officially the 2021 World Car of the Year. It won the crown against an eclectic mix of hatchbacks, sedans, coupes, and SUVs, including the Toyota GR Yaris, Audi A3, BMW 4 Series, Kia K5, and Mazda MX-30, to name a few.
This year, the jurors had an extra three weeks to test drive each candidate before the first round of voting last February 15. The top ten finalists were revealed on March 2 to kickstart the second and final round of voting on March 15. The top ten contenders for this year’s World Car of the Year were:

Using AI to make art is surprisingly interesting.
In 1975, French race car driver Herve Poulain invited friend and artist Alexander Calder to paint the first BMW Art Car. It was a 3.0 CSL that Poulain would race in that year s 24 Hour of Le Mans. The team didn t finish, but it was the first in a long line that included famous artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella and others. But for this year s Frieze New York art fair, the company is doing something different.
Today BMW debuted The Ultimate AI Masterpiece, an 8-Series Gran Coupe that was painted by artificial intelligence as a visual art installation at the show, which also coincides with the 50th anniversary of BMW Group Cultural Engagement.
Art cars have been around for decades, but BMW is giving them a high-tech makeover as they’ve unveiled “The Ultimate AI Masterpiece.”
As the name suggests, the cars were created with artificial intelligence and they’ll debut as part of a virtual art installation in conjunction with Frieze New York 2021.
The cars were created in partnership with creative technologist Nathan Shipley and art collector Gary Yeh. They used Nvidia’s open source StyleGAN artificial intelligence software to “cross-reference over 50,000 images of artwork spanning 900 years of art history and a curated set of 50 works from renowned and emerging contemporary artists BMW has worked with over the past 50 years.” These pieces were used to teach the AI about art, so it could then come up with new designs of its own.
