CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Beaufort County Sheriffâs Office says they have arrested a man wanted for more than a dozen car break-ins on Hilton Head Island.
Deputies say Marques Lopez Brown, 22, who was wanted on 13 counts of breaking into a motor vehicle and one count of grand larceny was taken into custody at 4:50 a.m. Thursday. He has since been additionally charged with one count of fleeing to evade and one count of providing false information.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WTOC) - Beaufort County Sheriffâs Office deputies have arrested a Hardeeville man suspected of more than a dozen vehicle break-ins on Hilton Head Island that occurred this summer and fall.
Deputies say 22-year-old Marques Lopez Brown, who was wanted on 13 counts of breaking into a motor vehicle and one count of grand larceny, was taken into custody early Thursday morning after they responded to a report of a vehicle break-in in progress on Crab Line Court on Hilton Head. When deputies encountered Brown, he ran from the scene but was apprehended after a short chase. He was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center.
