Police find cannabis, meth during raid of Gatton woman’s home
Melisa Leanne Francis fronted court after police raided her Gatton home and found drugs and utensils on January 6.
Francis pleaded to three charges – possessing meth, possessing cannabis and possessing utensils, bongs and pipes that had been used - in the Gatton Magistrates Court on Monday, January, 25.
Police prosecutor senior sergeant Al Windsor said police obtained a warrant to search Francis’ Railway Street address.

When Lockyer Valley teenager Cody Roberts saw a man who had allegedly knocked his motherâs teeth out, he tried to take the law into own hands and exact revenge.
Police alleged Roberts, 19, texted those who allegedly assaulted his mum that they could handle things two ways â âwith the cops or withoutâ.
It was also heard that Roberts made threats to âsort outâ the person who assaulted his mum, during his appearance at the Gatton Magistrates Court on Monday, February 1.

Subscriber only A solicitor has argued in court that because his client had no recollection of excessively speeding on the Warrego Highway, it reduced his criminality. Michael Adam Tanusoski pleaded guilty to two offences in the Gatton Magistrates Court on January 25, 2021. The two charges were disobeying the speed limit and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, after Tanusoski was intercepted by police on the Warrego Highway at Plainland, travelling 114 km/hr in an 80km/h zone. Police prosecutor Senior Sergeant Al Windsor said on June 29, 2020, police were patrolling the Warrego Highway with a vehicle fitted with an on-board speed detector, and intercepted Tanusoski driving his vehicle.

Subscriber only JESSICA Kelly Duggan pleaded guilty to two offences in the Gatton Magistrates Court on Monday December 14 after she was caught driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol on two occasions. Duggan was charged on August 1, 2020 with driving while a drug was present in her system after she was intercepted by police on Railway Street, Gatton. Police prosecutor senior Sergeant Al Windsor said Duggan was asked to provide a sample of saliva to police, which after being analysed was found to contain the presence of meth. Less than two months later, Duggan was again intercepted by police driving on the Gatton Helidon Road on October 21.

Subscriber only A MAGISTRATE told a Glenore Grove man that imprisonment was a sentence of last resort as he convicted the repeat drug offender for his crimes. Mathew William Beer pleaded guilty to four charges in Gatton Magistrates Court on Monday, December 14 after police were called to his Forest Ave address in August. Beer was charged with possessing methamphetamines, possessing cannabis, possessing a straw used in the administration of a dangerous drug and possessing clip seal bags, grinders and scales used in committing a drug offence. Police prosecutor senior Sergeant Al Windsor said police were called to Beer s address at 2am on August 4, to assist paramedics with a drug affected male.
