According to initial reports by Save Patungan Now Movement, armed elements of the demolition team opened fire at least 12 times at the residents who set up barricades at entry points. Three residents, Neslie Lantar, Erick Dominado, and Ace Amul suffered gunshot wounds.

SANTA ROSA, Laguna Dorotea Mangubat watched silently as her family’s home was being burned down. She could do nothing but clutch a statue of the Sto. Niño; the only possession she managed to salvage from inside. Had the armed guards had their way, Dorotea would’ve burned inside the house with her Sto. Niño statue.
The January 23 arson incident was only another episode in a long month of violence gripping sitio Buntog in barangay Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna. Reports from Buntog read out like a warzone: armed guards employed by Seraph Security have blocked residents like Dorotea from entering or exiting Buntog, turning their community into an internment camp.

Guards beat up 6 farmers in Hacienda Yulo in Laguna

MANILA Six farmers, including a minor, were beaten up by elements of the Seraph Security Agency in Hacienda Yulo, barangay Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna, according to Defend Yulo Farmers.
One of the farmers, Pedro Mangubat, suffered dental injuries. Also hur were Hermie de Leon, Chris Laurel, William Caranay, Florencio Masongsong, and a minor.
Just this Saturday, January 23, the security guards hired by Ayala Land and San Cristobal Realty burned the houses of farmers Fredie Cacao and Mario Mangubat.
