Murdered runaway teen tested positive for covid19
SHOT DEAD: Antonio Francois. - AYANNA KINSALE
ONE of the two teens who ran away from a Children’s Authority safe house, only to be murdered later, tested positive for the covid19 virus, his mother told Newsday.
When Newsday contacted Nicole Brathwaite about the funeral arrangements for her son Antonio Francois, she said that as a result of the covid19 positive test there are concerns about the intended burial of her last child and only son.
“They told me he was positive but I did not see any documentation and they did not put that on the death certificate,” she said, adding that she was contemplating getting a second test done by a private lab to confirm.

SHOT DEAD: Antonio Francois. -
THE MOTHER of a murdered teenager, Nicole Brathwaite, said her son, Antonio Francois, wanted to be a police officer, then later in life, a singer.
Francois was killed, along with his friend Semion Daniel, both 15, on Sunday night. Their bodies were found on the roof of an abandoned house in Mc Shine Lands, Laventille, after neighbours reported hearing gunshots.
The two were among five teenagers who escaped from the care of the Children s Authority in mid-March by squeezing through the burglarproofing of a home in north Trinidad
Two of the children are still on the run and a third was found after the double killing.
