The residents pointed out that despite the lake being restored a few years ago and even though a sewage treatment plant exists, the lake’s water quality is still deteriorating which is leading to fish kill incidents. In the last three months, the lake has been falling under class E, from the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board water quality analysis report. The Class E is designated for the use of irrigation, industrial cooling and controlled waste.
Located in Hoodi, the 25 acre Seetharampalya lake was rejuvenated in 2015 by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) with the help of a private company.
