Hundreds of viewer comments calling for myers to be firedor removed by the governor. Neither of those are options. Myers is an elected official and cannot be fired by for instance, the county administrator or a city manager. The governor cannot remove him because the charge hes facing is a misdemeanor, not a felony that would involve a grand jury indictment. And South Carolina is a state where there is no recall procedure for an elected official of any kindfederal, state or local. So it would be up to myers himself to resign.
